Wat is er allemaal aan boord?
History
Stoarm (formerly Vrouwe Cornelia) was designed in 1975 by naval architect Martin Bekebrede on behalf of its first owner, Mr. J.J. de Koning from Enkhuizen. Martin Bekebrede is a renowned designer of well-sailing ships, including various flat-bottomed boats, the Noordkaper, and Wanderer. Mr. De Koning, an engineer-constructor, organized the construction himself; the hull was welded by Shipyard Broekerhaven, and he personally undertook the fitting-out of the ship over a period of 4 years. It’s a testament to craftsmanship and perseverance. As the first owner, he sailed with the ship on inland waters until 2016, primarily on the IJsselmeer, the Dutch and German Wadden Sea, and the Baltic Sea. The slim underwater hull design ensures good performance, slicing through waves adeptly due to its straight stem, and it features a full aft section to handle following seas effectively.
Insurance and Deposit
When renting Stoarm, you will be required to pay a deposit of €400. This deposit must be paid before departure. You will receive an email about this five days before arrival.
It is also possible to waive the deductible for 15% of the deductible amount (€95 including VAT). This option provides full coverage for damage resulting from sailing and maneuvering the boat. Good seamanship is expected; deliberate damage will always incur the deductible.
