The story of the Anna-Lynn

The Lemsteraak ‘Anna-Lynn’ was designed in 1978 by A. de Boer and custom-built by Kooijman and de Vries in Deil. The design is based on fishing boats from the Zuiderzee due to their seaworthiness. The design description states: ‘it is no coincidence that the construction committee advised Princess Beatrix to choose a Lemsteraak’.

The Anna-Lynn is 9.10 meters long and 3.24 meters wide with a draft of 0.77 meters. With her round bottom, she is very suitable for grounding on the mudflats and sailing on the Frisian lakes.

Interior of the Anna-Lynn

In the cabin, there is a large sliding hatch that spans the full width of the superstructure. The galley features a 3-burner gas stove with oven, a spacious refrigerator with freezer, hot air heating, and of course a fully equipped kitchen. The cabin has a comfortable headroom of 2 meters in the galley to a minimum of 1.87 meters.

This flat-bottomed boat has 4 fixed beds in the front: a double bed and two single beds, all suitable for tall individuals. Additionally, two people can sleep on the benches in the salon.

The technology in the Anna-Lynn

In terms of technology, the Anna-Lynn is well-equipped. The round bottom is fitted with a Volvo Penta ship diesel with a right-handed propeller, depth sounder, stock anchor, grapnel anchor with lead line, 2 self-tailing winches, Sailtron VHF radio, battery charger, and 2 batteries with an automatic charging system.

For grounding on the mudflats, there is a round masthead light available. Of course, there is a shore power connection with an extension cord on board.
