From the home port Lunegat in Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen, you can sail to the Wad in less than an hour and a half. You can get used to the ship on the Lauwersmeer. After which you sail through the tidal lock to the Wad. From here, you can go to the marina of Schiermonnikoog, run aground on Engelsmanplaat, or spot seals at Kuipersplaat.
Are you going on a longer trip? Then you can go island hopping! Sail via the wantij to Ameland, Terschelling, and Vlieland. If the wind is not favorable, you can also go the other way. Sail along the dike to Noordpolderzijl, the smallest tidal harbor in the Netherlands, and run aground under the eastern tip of Schiermonnikoog.
