Every year in the first week of August, Sneek hosts the Sneekweek, a seven-day event that turns the city into a major attraction for tourists from both the Netherlands and abroad. Marinas in Sneek<\/h2>\n

In Sneek and on the Sneekermeer, you will find many mooring spots. In Sneek, you can find the Sneeker Jachthaven and Jachthaven de Domp.<\/p>\n

Sneeker Jachthaven<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Sneeker Jachthaven has approximately 35 mooring spots for transient boats along the quay of the Oudvaart. Reservations are not possible here. However, you can call the harbor master just before arrival to check for availability at the following number: 06-15405898.<\/p>\n

For boats up to 8 meters, you pay \u20ac10.00 per night for a spot with electricity. For boats larger than 8 meters, a spot including electricity costs \u20ac1.55 per meter. These prices include shower, toilet, and Wi-Fi but exclude tourist tax.<\/p>\n

Jachthaven de Domp<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jachthaven De Domp is sheltered by trees, providing a wonderfully wind-free environment. Situated in a quiet area away from busy roads, there is no noise disturbance. Part of Jachthaven De Domp is reserved for transient boats, and another part for permanent moorings.<\/p>\n

During the high season, you pay \u20ac1.75 per meter plus an energy surcharge of \u20ac4.00 at this marina. These prices exclude tourist tax.<\/p>\n

Both Sneeker Jachthaven and Jachthaven de Domp have unique locations close to the city center. You can reach the beautiful old town within a 10-minute walk.<\/p>\n

Bridge Operations in Sneek<\/h2>\n

The watersports season in Sneek starts around April 1 and ends around November 1. Bridges are operated from 9:00 to 19:00 during this time. During the summer months, the movable bridges in Sneek\u2014Oppenhuizerbrug, Harinxmabrug, Lemmerbrug, and Woudvaartbrug\u2014are operated from 9:00 to 20:00.<\/p>\n

The Zwettebrug, Laatste Stuiverbrug, and Koninginnebrug in Sneek are not operated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From November 1 to April 1, locks and bridges are operated upon request. If you wish to use a bridge or lock during this period, please contact Provinsje Frysl\u00e2n by phone at 058-292 58 88. They are available on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00. Information about bridge operations in the rest of the S\u00fadwest Frysl\u00e2n municipality can also be found on the website of the municipality.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Dock Your Boat at a Marrekrite Jetty on the Sneekermeer<\/h2>\n

Marrekrite has been the recreational authority for Frisian waters and lands for 60 years. They maintain 34 kilometers of free mooring spots amidst nature. Every day, over 3500 boats can dock at nearly 300 locations. Docking at these beautiful Marrekrite mooring spots costs you nothing. You can use the same mooring spot for a maximum of three days.<\/p>\n

Marrekrite maintains the facilities, ensuring they are safe and tidy, mowing the grass, and emptying waste containers. Performing these tasks requires significant funding. Purchase a Marrekrite pennant with your booking and directly contribute to maintaining these unique, free mooring spots in Friesland.<\/p>\n

Boating to the Sneekweek<\/h3>\n

Are you renting a sloop for the Sneekweek? The 86th Sneekweek will take place from August 5th to 10th, 2023. Sneekweek is Europe’s largest and most enjoyable inland sailing event: the perfect blend of conviviality and competitiveness. Throughout the day, there’s spirited sailing on the Sneekermeer, followed by festivities on the island and in the city.<\/p>\n

Sneekweek originated from the famous Hardzeildag (Hard Sailing Day). This event has been held annually on a Wednesday in August since 1814. Since then, everyone with a sail in Sneek has gathered at the lake to celebrate this day. The first Sneekweek was organized in 1934.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
